Advanced numerical analysis of CFD flows

CFD analysis is a virtual wind tunnel in which we test a selected 3D element. The use of CFD flow analyses in the design of building structures allows for the forces generated by the wind acting on the structure to be made more realistic. Classic methods of determining forces on structural elements are based on many, often safety-related, assumptions and simplifications. Thanks to CFD analyses, we can analyze any geometric shape with great precision and obtain the forces generated by the wind.

Using CFD analyses

We conduct analyses in Solid Edge with the FloEFD flow analysis add-on.

Example benefits of using CFD simulations:

  • Precise determination of loads on elements without the need to use safety simplifications and assumptions
  • Possibility to determine the load on any complex assembly, basically without geometric limitations
  • Possibility to design lighter, more economical structures
  • Possibility to shorten the investment process in the case of reconstructions, reinforcements or superstructures of existing facilities

Design supported by CFD flow analyses

CFD analysis is a virtual wind tunnel in which we can examine the interaction between a gas or liquid and a selected 3D element.

The use of CFD analyses is very wide. It is possible to use the results of CFD analysis to design structures, but also to optimize the arrangement of elements generating the greatest load in order to reduce the value of this load. We perform analyses of gas and liquid flows as well as internal and external flows.
